Time Pilot is British East London based House, trip hop & Electronica music duo Lee Farrell and Gizella Futak.
They have been recording since 2006. Originally formed in 2005 by Leon Farrell named after a classic 1980's arcade game. Playing a variety of Electronic dance music Mainly House, Techno, & Chill out with a very retro feel added to some indie influences from Farrell's days as a bass player from indie rockers Groover/Austin Star.
A self produced debut album "Sci Fi Curious" was recorded live in 2 weeks using a laptop and various samplers in September 2005. Tracks were previewed on myspace.com in October to a positive response; a final mix of the album was completed over Dec/Jan 06 and released through on line label Solarise Records (UK) & CD baby (US) as well as download from I Tunes/Napster.
Late 2006 Farrell contacted vocalist/lyricist Gizella Futak through MySpace who was also from the East London area. The duo began collaborating initially via post and email, Futak adding vocals to the Beats Farrell had recorded. The Bands first official release "London II Tokyo" was completed in May 2007 Released again through CD Baby and every download site in the known universe. A tribute to the Halcyon dance music era of 1989-91 it has gained positive reviews across the net. Two tracks from the Album "Reprise" & "Back in the Day" reach #3 & 4 respectively on the garage band dance charts over the summer of 2007 increasing the bands ever expanding and loyal following. Currently Hard at work on their 3rd album due for release early to mid 2009. Demos and works in progress are posted regularly on the official my space site www.timepilot.co.uk
A lot of the same music is being played on commercial radio and in clubs, bars and television adverts. This along with a lack of invention in the mainstream has led to the music being forced back to its underground roots and created Time Pilot.
